    A Note from my Kitchen

I am a huge fan of both pralines lover and Chex mix. This recipe combines the best of both worlds into one irresistible treat. The original version is traditionally made with Crispix cereal, which is great. However, I think the mix of corn Chex, rice Chex, and salty mini pretzels makes it even better.

I love making this Praline Crunch as a homemade gift for friends and neighbors. It makes a wonderful hostess gift, especially when packaged in a pretty decorated jar. I also like to bring a big bowl to our local bar to share with friends while we watch the football games. No matter where I take it, it's always a huge hit and disappears in no time. Enjoy! Xoxo- Katie.

    Ingredient Notes and Substitutions

You will need the following ingredients to make praline crunch snack mix.

    • Corn Chex & Rice Chex- I love the color and flavor contrasts in this mix, but you can easily swap in Chex or Crispix cereal if you prefer.
    • mini pretzels- I prefer the smaller sized pretzels, but you can use pretzel sticks also.
    • pecan halves- Do not substitute with pecan pieces. They are too small for picking up to eat.
    • brown sugar- I have used both dark and light brown sugar. Both work great.
    • corn syrup- Light corn syrup or dark corn syrup will work for this recipe.
    • butter- The butter is what gives this mix the rich praline flavor, so do not substitute with margarine.
    • baking soda
    • vanilla extract
