French Onion Chicken Noodle Casserole Recipe

This Chicken Noodle Casserole recipe is a creamy noodle dish made with shredded chicken and cheddar cheese, then topped with crunchy french fried onions.

  • 4 cups of cooked chicken shredded
  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 cans of cream of chicken soup
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup French Fried Onion


  • Cook 12 ounces egg noodles. Drain and set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9x13 in baking dish.
  • Mix 4 cups of cooked shredded chicken, 2 cans of cream of chicken soup, 16 oz sour cream, and 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese together.
  • Mix in egg noodles.
  • Add to baking dish.
  • Top with 1 cup French Fried Onions.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until cheese is fully melted.



Note: If you are in a hurry, you can shred pre-cooked rotisserie chicken. It will also add extra flavor. I do not recommend canned chicken.
