It also pairs well as a side dish to burgers, hot dogs, and pasta.

ingredients for tomato cucumber onion salad-tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, seasoned rice vinegar, Lawry's seasoned salt, and olive oil

    Ingredients

You will need the following ingredients to make this simple tomato cucumber onion salad.

    • Cucumbers-Use your favorite garden cucumber. If you choose cucumbers with a thick waxy peel, peel them. If you choose English or Persian cucumbers, you will not have to peel them. This recipe is perfect for summer garden cucumbers.
    • Tomatoes- Use any tomato variety that is in season. You can mix tomato varieties also.
    • Red Onion- Red onion is the best choice for this salad dressing. You can substitute with a sweet onion or vidalia.
    • Seasoned Rice Vinegar- Do not substitute the vinegar with a different flavor. Choose the seasoned rice vinegar. If you can only find non-seasoned rice vinegar, add 1 teaspoon of sugar.
    • Lawry's Seasoned Salt- Lawry's seasoned salt is a key seasoning ingredient for the dressing. You can substitute with a generic version of Lawry's seasoning if the salt mix tastes similar. However, any other seasoned salt mix is not recommended because the flavor of the dressing will not come out the same for this particular dressing mix.
    • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
