I love homemade salad dressings. They are so easy to make and they taste so much better than store-bought versions. This homemade balsamic vinaigrette recipe is no exception. It requires just a few ingredients that you throw in a food processor or blender and out comes an amazing dressing! I love my Cuisinart DFP-14BCNY 14-Cup Food Processor, Brushed Stainless Steel if you are looking for a good food processor. It is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets. You probably have all of the ingredients on hand. Use a good quality balsamic and olive oil to make this perfect.
This homemade balsamic vinaigrette dressing is fantastic over a salad or to use as a marinade on chicken or vegetables. I love using it as a marinade for eggplant, zucchini, onions, mushrooms, and red peppers, then grilling them as a side dish. It makes a lovely side dish with incredible flavor. - 1/3 cup balsamic
- 3/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tbs mayonnaise
- 2 tbs honey
- 1 tbs Dijon Mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- 1 garlic clove
Blend everything together in food processor or blender. Serve or refrigerate in airtight container.
