If you are serious about chocolate, you must check out Serendipity 3 in NYC. Famous for their Frozen Hot Chocolate, Serendipity 3 is the place to be for an amazingly sweet experience.
Located at 225 East 60th Street, Serendipity 3 is a hidden jewel in the big New York City. If you don’t have reservations, expect to wait. The allure of their famous Frozen Hot Chocolate attracts people from all over the world and it is a very, very busy place.
You enter into a very tight, cramped congested little store. Walking through to your seating, among the hustle and bustle, you will be amazed at the whimsical and odd things from floor to ceiling to include their extravagant Tiffany Lamp collection.
But let’s face it, you came here for the frozen treats and ice cream, so let’s move on to that….
Serendipity: ” The art of finding the pleasantly unexpected by chance or sagacity.” A brilliant name for a place that makes Hot Chocolate Frozen…
Their Frozen Hot Chocolate has the texture of a slushy and the thickness of a milk shake. It has the perfect combination of sweet and chocolate. And it is good….
And do you see the two straws? That is because it is a BIG FRRROZEN TREAT perfect for sharing!
But we were not about to stop there. We also tried the Frrrozen Hot Salted Caramel Chocolate.
It was good, but we felt the Frrrozen Hot Chocolate had more flavor and sweetness.
Who doesn’t like a good Banana Split? It was pretty outrageous to me! Just look at the size of this thing.
And I have to say, the Strawberry Fields Sundae is pretty INCREDIBLE! It is a sundae with cheesecake, strawberry ice cream, strawberry topping with whipped cream! HELLO!
They have an extensive menu selection for lunch and dinner that looked pretty wicked good. But honestly, we came specifically for dessert. We had lunch at Patsy’s Italian Restaurant first, so we didn’t have the opportunity to try the rest of the menu. Maybe next time, because for sure, there will be a next time! However, lunch at Patsy’s…dessert at Serendipity…. that really is a perfect New York dining experience. I highly recommend it. And if you go, do me a favor and tell them I sent you! You will love both, I promise, and when you do, I told you so!
