    ★★★★★ - Jen

My guests always rave about how fancy this smoked salmon dip looks-and the funny thing is, it couldn't be easier to make! There's no cooking involved, just a bit of chopping and whipping.

And speaking of whipping… the real showstopper is the velvety whipped cream cheese layer. It's silky-smooth and spreads on like butter.

Need another reason to love this creamy dip? It can be made ahead of time, and it still tastes fresh and delicious when served. It's a crowd-pleaser every time!

I hope you love this salmon spread as much as we do. Enjoy! Xoxo ~Katie.

smoked salmon dip ingredients- smoked salmon, cream cheese, lemon, dill, sour cream, capers, red onion, olive oil, Everything Bagel Seasoning

    Ingredient notes and substitutions

You will need the following ingredients to make cream cheese smoked salmon dip.

    • cream cheese
    • sour cream- You can substitute with plain Greek yogurt
    • fresh lemon juice- If you don't like lemon flavor, you can omit the lemon juice or substitute with Worcestershire sauce.
    • salt
    • smoked salmon- I have used both cold smoked salmon and hot smoked salmon. Cold smoked salmon is silkier in texture with a mild smoked flavor. Hot smoke salmon is flakier, richer, and offers a stronger smoke flavor. Both are delicious in this recipe. It is a matter of personal preference. However, typically, in salmon dip, the cold smoked salmon is used.
    • red onion- You can substitute with green onions or chives.
    • capers- The small nonpareille capers are preferred.
    • fresh dill
    • lemon zest
    • olive oil
    • Everything Bagel Seasoning- You can substitute with salt.
