This horseradish cream sauce recipe is rich, tangy, and bold with just the right kick. It is perfect for roast beef, prime rib, sandwiches, or dipping. Make it in less than 5 minutes with simple ingredients.

Have you ever made a sauce that you loved so much, that you wanted to try it on everything? This is that kind of sauce. And yes... I want to eat it on EVERYTHING!!
I originally made it for my homemade roast beef sandwiches, but I have been slathering this horseradish cream sauce on burgers, pork tenderloin, and chicken fingers. I even use it as a dip for potato chips. french fries, onion rings, and vegetables. It would also be fantastic on prime rib roast, fried shrimp, fried stuffed mushrooms, baked potatoes, and fried jalapeno poppers. Seriously, the list goes on!
When my friends tried this, they literally said to me, "Katie, this is the BEST horseradish sauce I ever had." And I answered very seriously right back, "Yes it is." If it wouldn't be weird, I might would drink it... Ok, maybe not, but it is that good! I hope you love it too! Enjoy! Xoxo ~Katie.

Ingredient notes and substitutions
You will need the following ingredients to make this creamy horseradish sauce recipe.
- prepared horseradish- You can find prepared horseradish in a glass jar located in the condiment section in the grocery store, or in the seafood department. Do not confuse this with the jarred horseradish cream. It is not the same thing. You can make homemade horseradish for this recipe by grating horseradish root and adding a dash of fresh white vinegar and a pinch of sugar. Keep in mind that fresh horseradish is much stronger and hotter than prepared horseradish.
- sour cream- You can substitute with a full fat Greek yogurt.
- mayonnaise
- apple cider vinegar- You can substitute with white vinegar, champagne vinegar, or white wine vinegar. If you do, add a tiny pinch of sugar. You can also substitute with dijon mustard.
- Worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper

How long does creamy horseradish sauce last?
Creamy horseradish sauce will last up to two weeks stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Because of the sour cream and mayonnaise ingredients, I do not recommend freezing. It will not freeze well and will be runny once thawed.
