Honey dijon dressing is a sweet and tangy vinaigrette made with honey, dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil. It is easy to make and absolutely delicious. Use it on salads, wraps, or as a flavorful vegetable marinade.

I am the queen of homemade salad dressings. There are very few salad dressings I will buy because homemade is ALWAYS better. This honey dijon dressing is no exception.
Unlike other honey mustard dressings, this recipe does not use mayonnaise and is a true vinaigrette. The flavors are sweet from the honey, and tangy from the dijon mustard. The apple cider vinegar adds a bit of tartness to balance the flavor combination. When properly mixed, it pours out rich and creamy.
My husband is a big honey mustard fan and this is one of his favorite salad dressings. I hope you love it as much as we do. Enjoy! Xoxo~Katie.

Ingredient notes and substitutions
You will need the following simple ingredients to make honey dijon dressing.
- honey- Honey has such a nice flavor in this. However, real maple syrup would be good in this also.
- Dijon mustard- I don't recommend substituting with regular mustard. It will be too tart.
- apple cider vinegar- You can substitute with white wine vinegar or red wine vinegar. Fresh squeezed lemon juice would also make a tasty substitute.
- olive oil- You can substitute with vegetable oil or avocado oil.
- salt and pepper- You can add onion powder, paprika, and/or garlic powder, however it is delicious the way it is.
