My Uncle Danny is an amazing cook. When I visit him in Wisconsin, he is always cooking me up something special.

    My Uncle Danny Kriz

Every summer he grows a beautiful garden in his back yard and will cook with whatever is growing in it making things like zucchini bread, cucumber salad, and my favorite… PICKLES!

He is famous for his homemade pickles. He has given me several jars over the years. No-one can make them quite like his. I absolutely LOVE them. I have tried making them like his, but I could never quite get them right. I have no idea what I do wrong, but his pickles are AMAZING!

He also brings the best party dips for our family gatherings. He has been making this cream cheese Taco Dip since I was a kid.

I would eat tons of it at the parties. When I became an adult, I had to get the recipe so I could make it myself.

I have made this cream cheese taco dip at several of my parties. I love spicy food, so I add the spicy cheese and jalapeños to mine. My Uncle Danny doesn't use the spicy cheese. He typically will layer his with cheddar for a milder dip. You can make your milder also if you don't like your dips as spicy. I have a homemade chip recipe that is wicked good with this dip.

If you want to keep it low carb, serve with veggies in place of chips. This cream cheese taco dip is great on carrots, celery, mushrooms, and cucumbers. I do it all the time to cut the carbs and calories.

My favorite toppings on this layered taco Dip are tomatoes, olives, chives, and pickled jalapeños, but you can put whatever toppings you want. You could add onions, bell peppers, red peppers, and fresh jalapeños. Either way, this chip dip is so easy to make and your guests will love it. Don't be surprised if you have no left overs! xoxo
