Brown sugar fudge is different from traditional fudge because it is made with brown sugar and powdered sugar instead of white granulated sugar.
The sugars mixed with butter and pecans create a creamy praline flavor.
The addition of the bourbon enhances the flavors to PERFECTION!

How to make bourbon brown sugar fudge
Making this bourbon brown sugar fudge is EASY! Follow these steps for AMAZING, creamy, delectable fudge!
- Line an 8x8in square pan with parchment paper.
- Combine brown sugar, evaporated milk, and butter in a heavy-bottomed medium sized sauce pan.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low. Stir constantly until until candy thermometer reaches about 238 degrees.

- Mix bourbon until fudge is completely smooth with a hand held mixer.Add in powdered sugar a little at a time, mixing with hand held mixer each time until smooth.
- Add in chopped toasted pecans. Mix until combined.
- Pour into 8x8 in square pan. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until firm.
- Slice with a sharp knife and serve. Store leftover fudge in an airtight sealed container.
Tips
Tip 1: Lining the pan with parchment paper prevents the fudge from sticking to the pan. This makes it easy to remove the fudge from the pan and makes clean up a breeze.
I like to have extra paper hanging over the edge so I can just pull it up and out.
You don't have to line your pan. Your fudge will still turn out amazing.
However, lining the pan makes the process easier!
Tip 2: Do not skip on the candy thermometer. Reaching the right temperature ensures your fudge will set properly.

Can you freeze fudge?
Fudge makes the best homemade holiday gift because you can freeze fudge a head of time!
You can individually wrap each piece or wrap entire batch in one package.
Double wrap the bourbon brown sugar fudge in plastic wrap.
Then store it in an air tight container or freezer bag.
BSB-Brown Sugar Bourbon
For this bourbon brown sugar fudge recipe I used BSB-Brown Sugar Bourbon.
BSB is sweetened with brown sugar with notes of cinnamon creating a smooth classic whiskey warmth. The flavor conjunction is epic!
BSB is a 60 proof multiple award-winning flavored whiskey.
In 2019 and 2018, BSB won the World's Best Flavoured Whisky – at the World Whiskies Awards.
The World Whisky Awards are "the biggest and most respected authorities in the whisky industry." -Forbes
BSB holds several other additional awards such as Gold Medal from Proof Awards, America's Best Flavoured Whisky from World Whiskies Awards, and Gold Medal from San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
BSB sips lovely poured straight over ice. Or mix it to create a delicious craft cocktail such as Rosemary Ginger Cider, Brown Sugar Manhattan, BSB Mule, or Autumn Punch.
BSB 103 is created with the same recipe of BSB, but bottled at 103 proof! This beautiful bourbon is also seasoned with brown sugar and cinnamon.
However, it is a little less sweet with a bolder bourbon flavor than its sister 60 proof version.
BSB 103 has also won many awards such as Gold Medal from Proof Awards, Double Gold Medal from Seattle International Spirits Awards, and Silver Medal from American Distilling Institute.
Sip BSB 103 slowly over ice or use it to create a swanky craft cocktail such as: Juelp 103 or BSB 103 Irish Cream.

This fudge is so delicious that I have decided to have it in my home always. Holds well in the refrigerator, and my neighbors and friends all get gifts from me. I cut the bars into 64 pieces because it is just so rich that larger pieces are just too much.
Liv
i made this fudge last week with regular whisky and added stem ginger and syrup from the jar. I'm in the UK so I altered my measurements - converted 2 cups of brown sugar to equivalent 16 oz, did the same for the powdered sugar, forgetting they are a totally different density. So I had far too much powdered sugar - I ended up kneading it in! i was really not thinking straight. but even with me getting it wrong it tasted absolutely fantastic.
Angela
Wow, these are so delicious!! My husband goes crazy for this fudge. Will be making all season long!
