Our first experience with food is the presentation. We eat with our eyes. Taking that little extra step of creativity with your food presentation makes your guests feel special. This Shrimp Cocktail in a shot glass creates a beautiful display for your guests. The shot glass also makes the shrimp cocktail makes it easy to handle for dinner parties and much more fun to eat. And you want your guests to have fun, right? You can do the same idea with a martini glass or wine glass. Enjoy!
*Preparation Notes: Slice a lemon and rub lemon around the rim of your glass. Pour Old Bay Seasoning on a small plate and submerge the rim of the glass in the seasoning mix and cover entire tip of the rim. Add the cocktail sauce to the glass. I use Paula Deen’s Cocktail Sauce recipe. The homemade cocktail sauce is much better than store bought. Add two to three shrimp on each glass. You can garnish with parsley, a lemon slice or leave it with just the shrimp. Serve immediately.
*Cooking Tip: Cook your shrimp in water and a can of beer. It brings out the flavors of your shrimp and takes away any fishy taste in the shrimp.
